Saturday was our 6th wedding anniversary and Chris had flowers sent all the way from Iraq! Actually, they were from a local florist, but he ordered them from Iraq! :) So, funny story about these flowers.... After receiving them on Saturday and then talked with Chris, we realized that the arrangement I got was NOTHING like the one he ordered off the internet. It was the wrong color vase, wrong color flowers and they didn't even get the kind of flowers right! The arrangement he ordered was to be in a cobalt vase (to match my dishes) and had white roses, white gerbera daisies, and white lilies! The bouquet I got was in a blueish green vase with pink roses, white and pink carnations (which doesn't come close to a lily or a gerbera daisy) and some kind of other tall white flower (my grandma K. would know the name)! Anyway, after talking with Chris I decide to call the 1-800flowers to tell them about the mix up. They were super nice and said that the florist would have to resend the right flowers. And that the florist should have called them if they couldn't have filled the order right. So, today I got a new arrangement of flowers and they are almost right.... at least this time they gave the right color flowers and a vase that will work better the next time I need to use it!
Here is the 1st set of flowers I got!
This was Allie's little flower. Chris had asked me to give her one out of the bouquet... she loves it and I've even found her watching TV with it sitting beside her! :) Too cute!
2nd thing of flowers: The florist actually called me today to tell me she didn't have a cobalt vase and didn't have the lilies or gerbera daisies. So they substituted with more roses, and a clear vase for the cobalt one. It's still beautiful and I appreciated both things of flowers I got!! I just felt bad for Chris that he had picked out this special bouquet and I didn't even get it! :( Thanks hon, I loved my flowers and appreciate you taking the time out of your VERY busy schedule to order them for me! Love ya and thanks for 6 wonderful years! Can't wait for October!!! :)

Blueberries and Tennis!
Monday we went blueberry picking with Bonny, Angela and all the kids. It was fun, but extremely hot! The kids enjoyed picking their own berries and probably ate half of what they picked - which the owner for the farm said they could! :)

Allie had a good amount of berries picked, (more than what she is showing here) but dropped her bucket right before we were done. It really didn't seem to bother her that she let all of her hard work fall to the ground. :(
Allie D. was not only picking the blue berries, but the red and yellow ones too!
Paying for our berries
The whole gang! Picking blueberries reminded me of my grandmother, since she always got boxes of fresh berries every summer! I miss her and so many things remind me of her and what a wonderful person she was! Love and miss ya, G-mom K!
Yesterday we went on base to play some tennis. Again, it had to be one of the hottest days this summer. But the kids had a big tree to play under and we didn't stay too long! :) I got some cute pics of my kids while we were waiting for the rest of the gang!

Allie sporting my sunglasses! :)
I "played" a little tennis with Allie and she loved hitting the ball. She did really well and asked to play again after we got home. We had to mow last night, but she thought we should play tennis before mowing! I think it's, "work before play!" At least that's what my mom always told us! :)

August 1st!
Can't believe it's August already and we only have a few short months until Chris comes home! My prayer daily is that our days will fly by and that October gets here fast! :) Adam will be 10 months tomorrow and he is still in the beginning stage of walking. He'll take three steps, but seems happy just to crawl most of the time! :) He was crying in this picture because he hit his head or fell... not sure which one, since falling and head banging is a hourly occurrence in our house!

He loves the bathrooms, and getting into the cabinets is something he does everyday! Along with pulling my TB off the roll! ={
Playing in Brooklyn's pool.
Allie with her new Walgreen flip flops! Isn't she getting so big!
This is Allie saying, "Daddy, are you coming home soon?"

Sleeping Babies, Puddles, and Taking Steps!
Adam was so sleepy this morning that he fell asleep eating his morning snack! :)
This was Adam the morning after my family left, very tired!
Allie also took a long nap that day. Something she doesn't do too often. She stole one of my Willow tree doll from the kitchen and took a nap with it. I guess it didn't matter to her that it was a wooden doll... not very comfortable to sleep with!
We got a big rain storm on Thursday that left our neighborhood with lots of big puddles!
Allie and Brooklyn
Adam is now trying to walk - just taking a few steps at a time, but at least he's trying! :) Posted by Chris and Michelle at 8:44 PM 4 comments

Part 2!
Mom trying to enjoy her book... not sure how much she actually got to read! :( Sorry mom!

Ashleigh and Aimee's sand castle.
While Ash and Aimee were building their castle the rest of us took turns digging a hole for the kids to play in. There is Megan and Annah hard a work! :)

It was amazing how no one was on the beach this week. We were wondering if something was going on that no one bothered to tell us about. Like sharks.... :{
Ryleigh telling Adam something... she was very good at "mothering" him! :)

Back on the beach after the sun had gone down!
Look who thinks he's a big boy!
An Aimee creation!

Allie was told my Annah that she wasn't allowed out in the water alone... she wasn't so happy about it!
Some kind of BIG bug the kids found. I was dead, I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to get Allie to hold it otherwise!
Getting cleaned off!
