Lieutenant To Captain!

Last week Chris was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain - way to go, honey!!! :) His company had a promotion ceremony that the kids and I attended and I even participated in. I'm very proud of Chris and all his accomplishments. Not only for being such a hard working man, but also for the example he is to those he works with. I've been told many times by different Marines what an awesome husband I have and what a great leader his is. Not only do his Marines look up to him, but those over him (like his Battalion Commander) value his common sense and wisdom. I know Chris won't like that I'm saying all this, but I think he deserves the praise and I want him to know how much we love and appreciate him! :) Before the ceremony.

Chris' Battalion Commander is the tall guy on the right.

Chris' old company commander, Captain H.

Taking an oath.

Captain Yoder! :)
The Col. telling a funny story about Chris. :)
Congrats!
A hand shake from the whole company.

"Can we go home now?"
"Hey, do any of you guys want to play?" =)
Chris, Nathan and Rob.

Waiting on daddy......

We love you hon!

congrats Chris! That's a big accomplishment. I'm sure we civilians don't even realize how much blood sweat and tears that involves.

I left you guys a congrats message on myspace last week when I found out Chris got promoted, but didn't hear back from you. I was beginning to think I'd heard wrong. LOL Glad to see the pictures! Congrats!

I always knew Chris was a great guy! That's why I let him marry you! Real proud of you, Chris! Also, love the funny captions, Chelle! Especially Adam asking those big Marines if they want to play! Real sense of humor there!
