Another day in IRAQ

A local sheep herder let us borrow his donkey for some free rides one lazy afternoon. Inside a typical house in our Area of Operations. Pretty easy to straighten up each day!
Traveling around some burnt out tankers which were recently ambushed. Notice the IED hole directly off the left side of the road. Crossing the Tigris River was always interesting!!He we are in the staging area right before kicking off a big mission.Another shot of the Tigris River.We called this the mini Grand Canyon. If you look closely, you can see little caves. These are where we found numerous hidden weapons and caches. Here is one of my motivated "Devil Dogs" serving as a tunnel rat and rooting out the terrorist's hidden caches.

This is what came out of the previous hole alone!!
We proudly lay out what we have found. Not bad for one day's work.

Great pics Chris. I am so glad I live in the US. Glad you are back. I am sure I will hear all the stories as you tell them to Jas. I think Michelle and I might have to designate a "non-Marine Corps talk time" next time we get together...

I changed the font color for the captions under the pic's. Let me know if that is better or if something else needs changed. Everything always looked fine on our screen.

PS: I know Liz's eyes are quite delicate and I wouldn't want to strain them!

Haha...I hope you noticed that Christian made a comment as well, which means that it was not my eyes alone. And by the way it was better this morning, but is hard to see again now. Behind the pictures was a cream color early. You can't see the words on the dark background. :}
