Just another random vehicle search. I'm using the "terp" to question the Iraqi.
Who says you can't have fun in Iraq?
Another random search in progress.
Patrolling through one of the nearby villages.
Sitting in one of our many observation posts.
I think the poor trucks worked harder than we did!The terrain was pretty rough in some spots. Most of the green that you see is a result of the local farmers irrigating their crops. It got to be challenging navigating through the myriad of ditches and canals that watered the desert.
During my pre-patrol brief right before setting off for the next 12 hours.
Keeping tabs on a local mayor of this village. His two sons are on the left.
Mike was my right hand man. He was my personal "terp" (interpreter) from Sudan, who has been in Iraq since 2002.
Another vehicle search.
